The Teams Behind MSR

English Podcast

The MSR podcast team seeks to spread the message of the Marriott Student Review through the new and modern medium of podcasting. The Measuring Success Right podcast interviews BYU students, faculty, alumni, and benefactors with the purpose of exploring healthy ways to measure success right. A focus on the values of the Marriott School of Business is prevalent in our episodes.

During the Winter 2025 semester, we have added video reels to our content in hopes of increasing our reach and listener pool. Measuring Success Right is led, hosted, and produced by students. Our student team enjoys learning new skills in audio engineering, hosting, production equipment, editing, outreach, and everything that entails producing a high-quality podcast show. We welcome all students to join our team, regardless of their major or prior podcasting experience!

Spanish Podcast

Las Caras del Éxito is an official podcast of the Marriott Student Review (MSR), the student-produced magazine of the business school. As the first Spanish-language podcast at BYU, we highlight the stories of success from individuals with roots and ties to the Latino community, as well as those who wish to learn about the culture.

Our interviewees are relatable people whose trajectories and experiences provide valuable insights for our multicultural audience that includes Hispanic and Latino listeners locally and globally. Our ultimate goal is to inspire and motivate our listeners to find success in their own fields of interest.

Marketing Team

The Marketing Team’s responsibility is to advertise what is the hidden gem of the Marriott School — the Marriott Student Review. As a team, we focus on reaching new audiences through social media and booths to inform students about the purpose of the Marriott Student Review.

Website

The Website Team makes the Marriott Student Review accessible worldwide. We have over 155,000 downloads throughout the world, and that number will continue to grow! We make it possible for the values of the Marriott School of Business to reach students in places like Australia, South America, Europe, and even Canada.

This year, the Marriott Student Review is updating its website design by using a new program to make the articles more accessible for everyone. We have the chance to explore new designs and use creative skills to make the Marriott Student Review website what we want it to be. No prior experience is needed, so come be part of the Marriott Student ReviewWebsite Team!

Editing & Design

The Editing & Design Team shapes the voice and visual identity of our student-led journal, reflecting the mission and values of the Marriott School of Business: faith in Christ, integrity, respect for all, and excellence. We curate, refine, and produce high-quality content for both our print publication and online blog, ensuring that each piece is both compelling in its message and engaging in its presentation.

Our editors work closely with student authors, offering constructive feedback to strengthen their ideas while preserving their unique voices. From early drafts to final publication, we guide revisions that elevate clarity, coherence, and impact, upholding integrity in our work and fostering respect for diverse perspectives.

Meanwhile, our designers transform written work into visually striking layouts, creating a professional and cohesive aesthetic that enhances readability and understanding. Through thoughtful typography, imagery, and formatting, we strive for excellence, ensuring that our journal reflects the high standards of the business world while remaining accessible and inspiring.

Together, we maintain the integrity of our publication, blending strong editorial standards with dynamic design to create a journal that informs, uplifts, and resonates with the Marriott School community and beyond — grounded in our shared faith in Christ.
